   Build and extend

   I build features, internal tools and integrations, connecting interfaces, backend services and data into a working whole.

   A new feature often needs changes across the interface, backend services and data. I can take responsibility for that work within an established team's architecture and development practices, or help a growing startup add the features and integrations its next stage requires. I work with the people who know the product to understand what needs to change and how it fits together.

   If you're starting with an idea or a first app built with AI, I can help define a manageable first version and build the missing pieces. The aim is working software that serves your business, with code and practical handover notes that you or your team can continue to develop.

2. 02

   Improve and maintain

   I fix problems in existing apps and systems, add useful tests and set up a review process for dependency updates.

   When an app feels fragile or routine changes become difficult, I fix the underlying problems and add tests around important user flows. That can mean preparing a first AI-built app for launch, keeping a growing startup's codebase manageable or updating an established system while preserving the behavior other teams depend on.

   Depending on the project, I can improve performance, check access controls and address how API keys and other credentials are handled. I can also set up Dependabot to propose dependency updates, then review and test those changes before they are applied. The result is a clearer maintenance routine and a codebase that is easier to change.

3. 03

   Automate a manual workflow

   Reduce repeated data entry or manual handovers. We agree one workflow, the rules it follows, and how exceptions should be handled. I assess where AI could help.

   Copying information between tools, following up requests and passing work between teams can leave a process dependent on repeated manual steps. I help operations and product teams identify one workflow to improve, including where information enters, which rules apply and where a person needs to make a decision.

   We agree the inputs, the expected result and how to handle exceptions before implementation. The work can include an integration, a notification or an approval step, depending on the systems involved. You receive the agreed changes, checks and practical handover notes. If feasibility is unclear, we can start with a separately agreed investigation.

4. 04

   Review and advise

   I review code, architecture and technical plans, then give you prioritized findings and clear next steps.

   Before committing to a launch, an integration or a larger technical change, it helps to understand the risks and options. I can review an established team's proposed architecture against the systems already in place, or help a startup weigh technical improvements against its product roadmap. The review focuses on the decisions you need to make.

   For a first app built with AI, I can explain what needs attention before real users start relying on it, even if you don't have a technical background. You receive findings in plain language: what I would address now, what can wait and why. That gives you or your team a practical basis for planning the work.

1. 2024 – present

   Clinical trial platform

   Visionite · assignment for Evinova/AstraZeneca

   I work in an international team on Evinova's clinical trial platform for patients, study sites and sponsors. My work spans React apps and Hapi/NestJS services that connect to other teams' Spring Boot backends or send email notifications through Kafka events or job queues. I also troubleshoot issues with QA colleagues and have worked on a backward-compatible login flow and tests in Playwright and Cucumber.

2. 2020 – 2024

   Customer verification and Salesforce integration

   At Trustly, I co-built a customer verification (KYC) workflow with another full-stack developer. React forms submitted data to an Express service for validation and storage in Postgres through Prisma, before passing it to Salesforce. My work covered validation, data storage and integration between the systems.

3. 2020 – 2024

   Frontend platform and payment flows

   My team was responsible for Trustly's microfrontend architecture, developer tooling and UI library. I helped build the Azura checkout and reworked the PayPal top-up site's interface and user experience. I worked mainly in React, alongside Spring Boot and Postgres, with real-time data and Playwright tests that included accessibility checks.

4. 2017 – 2020

   Change-request portal

   Headlight / Relight · consulting for the Swedish Transport Administration

   Through Headlight/Relight, I built and maintained a change-request portal for Trafikverket, the Swedish Transport Administration, as its sole developer. The work primarily used K2’s process engine and SmartForms, alongside SQL Server stored procedures and a SOAP/XML connection to another system. I stayed in regular contact with business stakeholders.
