Understand the flow before connecting the tools
We start with the source of the data, its destination and the rules it needs to follow. I check the relevant API or interface, the access available and what should happen when input is incomplete or a request fails.
The scope might be a new connection, a change to an existing API or a targeted investigation. It can involve modern APIs or an existing interface such as SOAP/XML. The choice depends on the systems involved.
Make failures visible and the handover useful
An integration needs a defined response to failures as well as a successful path. Depending on the assignment, that can include validation, error reporting and a way to handle retries without unintended duplicate actions. We agree which failure cases are in scope.
The handover explains the data flow, configuration and checks performed. If an existing connector or automation platform meets the need, we can consider it before commissioning custom code. I am available for smaller integrations and improvements with a clear boundary.

Describe the change
Tell me what exists, what you want to achieve and any deadline. A reproducible problem or a concrete example helps us start.
Agree a scope
We identify the deliverable, the access needed and how to check that the work is complete. I confirm availability before we agree a schedule.
Build or review
I work within the agreed scope and explain findings or tradeoffs. If new work emerges, we discuss it before extending the assignment.
Hand over
You receive the agreed changes or findings, with practical notes on what was checked and what needs attention next.

At Trustly, I co-built a KYC workflow connecting React forms, an Express API, Postgres and Salesforce. In a consulting assignment for the Swedish Transport Administration, my portal work included a SOAP/XML integration and SQL Server stored procedures.

Questions before we start
Can you integrate with our CRM?
Share the platform, the data you want to exchange and the access available. My experience includes a KYC workflow connected to Salesforce; I assess each new platform rather than assume its APIs behave the same way.
What if one system has no API?
We can check whether there is a supported alternative such as an export, import or existing service interface. Feasibility depends on the access and constraints of that system.
Does the integration need AI?
Not necessarily. Moving and validating structured data often needs ordinary software. AI can be considered for a specific task where its output can be checked and exceptions handled.
