Start with the existing system
Before changing code, I look at the behavior you need, how the relevant part of the application works and the constraints around it. A small assignment can involve more than one layer of the system; the scope should describe the outcome, not just a screen or a framework.
My experience includes React and TypeScript interfaces, Node.js services, relational databases and integrations. Those are examples of the work I do, rather than a requirement that every project use the same stack. Share your setup and I can assess the fit.
A defined change, with a practical handover
We agree what should work when the assignment is complete and how to verify it. Depending on the change, the handover can include code, relevant tests and notes about behavior or remaining limitations.
I am available for smaller, clearly scoped projects. Ongoing support, wider codebase ownership and response times need a separate agreement; a focused improvement does not require you to hand over the whole application.

Describe the change
Tell me what exists, what you want to achieve and any deadline. A reproducible problem or a concrete example helps us start.
Agree a scope
We identify the deliverable, the access needed and how to check that the work is complete. I confirm availability before we agree a schedule.
Build or review
I work within the agreed scope and explain findings or tradeoffs. If new work emerges, we discuss it before extending the assignment.
Hand over
You receive the agreed changes or findings, with practical notes on what was checked and what needs attention next.

Yes. I can take on an agreed change within your development and review process. We establish who can answer questions, review the work and release it.
Can you help with an application built using AI?
Yes. I can investigate the code and help with a defined issue or missing feature. I assess the actual stack and scope before recommending changes; the tool used to create the app is only part of the context.
Do we need a complete specification?
No. Start with the behavior you need and what happens today. If the cause or scope is unclear, we can first agree a bounded investigation.
